About Pho VH

Pho VH is a restaurant in Fountain Valley, California. It is listed at 18041 Magnolia St, Fountain Valley, CA 92708, which places it among the local businesses of Fountain Valley that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.

Fountain Valley is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Fountain Valley follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Incredible Food and Charming Mom-and-Pop Feel ★★★★☆ Pros: Delicious, authentic food; cozy and quaint atmosphere; charming mom-and-pop vibe. Cons: Shared plate of pho garnishes rather than individual plates per person. Wrongfully Charged $4 for Mexican Coke We stopped by Pho Vh for a two-person lunch, and the food was amazing, no question about it! The broth was flavorful, everything tasted fresh, and the space itself is small, quaint, and has that wonderful, cozy mom-and-pop feel to it. My only critique was with the pho garnishes & being charged for something we did not order nor consume. Instead of giving each of us our own side plate of bean sprouts, basil, jalapeños, and lime, they brought out a single shared plate for both bowls. Since we aren't related or sharing an order, neither of us liked the idea of diving our hands into the same garnish plate. Most other pho spots serve individual garnish plates per bowl, so that was a minor hiccup. Also, I just realized as I'm posting this review we were charged $4 for a darn Mexican Coke when we only had WATER. Pay attention to your tab folks! Wish I did. 😑 That said, the quality of the meal is top-notch. It is definitely a must-try s

The price is very affordable, and even though I ordered the small size, the portion is huge. There is an especially generous amount of meat—it seems like the meat never runs out no matter how much you eat. The vegetables are fresh, and the rice noodles are delicious.

I got the Pho with the 4 type of meat option. Tai,Nam,Gau, Bo vien. Let me tell you the Tai steak was very tender and soft. Its very fresh and delicious. They have options of meat for you to select. The pho comes with a side of mint leaves, bean sprouts, sliced onions and a couple of slice lemon. For Appetizer, i got the Fried Egg rolls. This includes 5 crispy eggrolls and vegetables to wrap and dip in a chili fish sauce. For Drinks, i got their Sugar cane juice. Freshly made. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Parking is plenty, wheelchair accessible.

Pho VH is a solid place for Vietnamese comfort food. The pho broth is rich and flavorful, and it tastes like it has been simmered with care. Portions are generous, the ingredients taste fresh, and the restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere. The staff is friendly and the service is pleasant. I also appreciate that the place offers three types of fresh herbs along with sliced onions on the side, which lets you adjust the flavor of the bowl the traditional way. Those fresh additions really help bring out the character of the broth. One small issue I noticed was that the noodles had a slightly powdery taste, which can sometimes happen when the noodles aren’t rinsed thoroughly before being added to the soup. It wasn’t a major problem, but improving that step would make the bowl even better.

Pho VH is honestly my favorite pho spot in the area! It has the closest flavor to the pho I used to have in Saigon, rich flavor and full of toppings. MSG Free. The rare beef is incredibly tender, and they give plenty of fresh herbs to enjoy alongside the bowl. My all time order is Phở Tái - Viên - Gân (must try) Their Cơm Tấm is also amazing, the grilled pork is, tender, and perfectly seasoned. Another dish that keeps me coming back!
